Your Fall Cheat Sheet for Fashion

As the few cooler days start to overcome the warmer days of Summer, we naturally start to think about adding new dresses, boots sweaters and jeans to our wardrobe. So, you look to see what new and fresh or what colors and patterns will go with what we already have. The look I’m most excited about this fall is the romance of the English countryside! Tweed blazers belted at the waist and riding boots that will carry you into next Spring.

 According to the Farmer’s Almanac we will be in for a very mild Fall with mostly sunny days and cooler temperatures.  The Northeast will be rainy and warmer than normal, Southeast will be mostly cool and sunny. The Midwest will be sunny and cool. Rockies are expected to be cold and snowy after the first week of November. Southwest will be sunny and cool around 55 degrees. California is off and on showers with temperatures around 60 degrees. The Pacific Northwest will be sunny and warm and around 50 degrees.

When you think about what’s in for Fall this year, think about English country chic--plaid skirts, sweaters, and riding boots. Genuine suede, leopard and plaid prints are trending. Look for long skirts and country dresses.

Studs –anything studded from bags to ballet flats or jackets. Monochromatic black outfits are supposed to be strong for fall going into Winter. Neutral hues like beige or camel, Soft yellow and dark cherry, burgundy and burnt umber colors. When looking for jeans pick a straight leg jean and pair it with a cropped jacket. Look for great riding boots, Mary janes, and loafers. They say that muck boots, rain boots and wellies are in as well.
